I wimped out, but the AKJ of spades were all on my right. I think, in retrospect, it was worth bidding 3NT.

I got a lot of feedback on this problem. The absolute correct response is 2 spades, showing a limit raise or better in clubs.
This is the correct action with nearly all 4 card club holdings.
One bad hand a couple of weeks ago, and suddenly I'm afraid to bid limit raises of a minor in competition. :(
